Rechargeable Nail Grinder

Most people don't avoid trimming their dog's nails because it's difficult. They avoid it because they've cut the quick once and heard the yelp.

How to use it

Hold each nail against the wheel for no more than a few seconds at a time — longer than that and friction heat builds up, which your dog will feel. Work in short passes and check between each one. On light nails, stop when you see a pale circle appear in the centre; on dark nails, stop when the cut face turns from dry and chalky to slightly grey and moist.

The first few sessions

Turn it on and let your dog hear it from across the room before it ever touches a paw. Do one nail, then stop and give a treat. Two or three nails a day for a week beats one long fight — and a dog who tolerates nail care is worth far more than a set of nails done perfectly once.

Care

Brush the dust off the wheel after each session. The grinding head is removable and washable.
