A dog that finishes a bowl in ninety seconds is swallowing more air than food. That's where the gulping, the bloating and the after-dinner sick come from.

The ridges here aren't decorative. They break the bowl into a maze your pet has to work kibble out of, one mouthful at a time. A meal that took two minutes takes ten or fifteen — and that alone fixes most of it.

Why it earns its place

  • Slows eating five to ten times over. Enough for the stomach to register food arriving, which is what stops the gulping.
  • Reduces bloat risk. Less swallowed air matters most for deep-chested breeds, where bloat is genuinely dangerous.
  • Doubles as light enrichment. Working food out of the ridges is a small puzzle in itself.
  • Soft silicone, not hard plastic. Won't crack, won't slide across the floor, and folds flat for travel.

Details

  • Food-grade silicone with a moulded maze surface
  • Collapsible for packing or storing
  • Suits dogs and cats; works with dry kibble and wet food alike
  • Dishwasher safe

Care

Rinse after wet food, or run it through the dishwasher. Get into the base of the ridges — that's where residue hides.

A note on the first week

Some dogs find it frustrating at first and nose the bowl around the kitchen. That's normal and it passes within a few meals. If yours gives up entirely, start with wet food smeared into the ridges rather than loose kibble — it's easier to get at and builds the habit.
